No third-party owner is responsible for BareAnime’s content, services, products, opinions, or business practices.

“BareAnime,” BareAnime logos, slogans, and associated branding may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or authorization.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. Limited Permission to Use BareAnime

Subject to these Terms, BareAnime grants you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and nonsublicensable permission to access and use the Services for lawful, noncommercial purposes.

You may:

  • Use BareAnime branding in domain names, usernames, advertisements, or products in a misleading manner

Ordinary search-engine indexing and limited quotation permitted by law are not prohibited.

11. Copyright and Fair Use

A disclaimer cannot create a legal right to use copyrighted content.

You may not assume that material appearing on BareAnime is available for unrestricted reuse merely because it appears in an article, theory, review, video, or commentary.

Third-party material remains subject to the rights of its respective owner.

12. Copyright Complaints and DMCA Notices

BareAnime respects intellectual-property rights.

Account termination may result in loss of access to account features and User Content.

You retain ownership of original User Content you lawfully create, subject to the license granted below.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of submitting it.

Submitting User Content does not guarantee that BareAnime will publish, retain, promote, respond to, or compensate you for it.

16. License Granted to BareAnime

When you submit User Content through the Services, you grant BareAnime a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to:

  • Host
  • Store
  • Reproduce
  • Format
  • Adapt for technical or editorial presentation
  • Display
  • Publish
  • Distribute
  • Communicate to the public
  • Promote
  • Create excerpts
  • Create thumbnails
  • Translate when authorized or reasonably necessary
  • Make the content available through the Services

This license allows BareAnime to operate, improve, promote, and distribute the Services and the submitted content.

For example, BareAnime may:

  • Display your theory on your public profile
  • Include a short excerpt on a category page
  • Feature a submission on the homepage
  • Link to or excerpt a submission in a newsletter
  • Promote a submission on social media
  • Reformat a submission for mobile display
  • Correct formatting or obvious typographical errors

Unless a separate agreement says otherwise:

  • You are not entitled to payment for User Content
  • BareAnime does not acquire exclusive ownership of your original theory
  • BareAnime will not claim that it originally authored your submission
  • BareAnime may identify you using the username or attribution you provide

This license ends when the User Content is deleted from active BareAnime systems, except to the extent:

  • Copies remain in backups
  • The content was shared or reposted by others
  • Retention is legally required
  • BareAnime needs records to resolve disputes or enforce rights
  • You separately authorized continued use
  • The content was incorporated into a separately agreed publication or project

The User-Generated Content Agreement may provide additional details.

17. User Content Representations

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You created it or possess all required permissions
  • You have authority to grant the license in these Terms
  • It does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
  • It does not unlawfully disclose confidential information
  • It does not contain knowingly false statements presented as fact about identifiable people or organizations
  • It does not violate applicable law
  • It does not contain malware or malicious code
  • It complies with these Terms and the Community Guidelines
  • Any sponsorship, compensation, free product, or material relationship is disclosed where relevant

Do not upload complete manga chapters, full episodes, unauthorized scans, pirated videos, copyrighted artwork, music, books, or other third-party material merely because it relates to your theory.

18. Prohibited User Content

You may not submit or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal
  • Threatens or encourages violence
  • Harasses, stalks, or intimidates another person
  • Promotes hatred or dehumanization based on protected characteristics
  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors
  • Contains child sexual abuse material
  • Reveals another person’s private identifying information
  • Impersonates another person or organization
  • Is fraudulent, deceptive, or materially misleading
  • Infringes intellectual-property rights
  • Contains pirated material
  • Contains malware, spyware, or harmful code
  • Facilitates unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Promotes spam or deceptive marketing
  • Manipulates reviews, votes, comments, or engagement
  • Contains undisclosed paid promotion
  • Violates contractual, fiduciary, or confidentiality duties
  • Interferes with investigations or legal rights
  • Is otherwise prohibited by our Community Guidelines

BareAnime may remove User Content that violates these rules.

19. Moderation

BareAnime may, but is not obligated to:

  • Review User Content
  • Moderate comments
  • Investigate reports
  • Edit titles or formatting
  • Add content warnings
  • Restrict visibility
  • Disable links
  • Remove content
  • Close discussions
  • Suspend users
  • Preserve evidence of violations
  • Report unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities

The presence of User Content does not mean BareAnime approves, endorses, verifies, or adopts it.

Moderation decisions may involve judgment and will not always satisfy every user.

We do not guarantee that every prohibited submission will be identified or removed immediately.

20. Honest Reviews and Criticism

BareAnime does not prohibit honest reviews, criticism, complaints, or negative opinions.

You may express truthful opinions about BareAnime, its products, or its services.

However, this does not permit:

  • False statements of fact
  • Harassment
  • Threats
  • Impersonation
  • Fraud
  • Disclosure of private information
  • Intellectual-property infringement
  • Manipulated or fabricated reviews
  • Other unlawful conduct

BareAnime may respond to criticism, correct factual inaccuracies, or enforce rules unrelated to whether an opinion is positive or negative.

Disagreement over anime, manga, theories, powerscaling, characters, adaptations, or fandom opinions does not justify harassment or abuse.

23. Spoilers and Leaks

BareAnime discusses current anime and manga material. Content may contain spoilers.

We may use spoiler notices, but we do not guarantee that every spoiler will be labeled or hidden.

You are responsible for deciding whether to access content related to a series, arc, chapter, episode, game, film, or publication.

Users may not post unlawfully obtained material or unauthorized full scans, recordings, or leaks.

Discussion of publicly circulating claims does not grant permission to upload copyrighted or unlawfully obtained files.

24. News, Canon, Translations, and Release Information

Anime and manga information may differ between:

Release dates and availability may change without notice.

Affiliate participation does not guarantee that a product is suitable for every user.

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted.

  • Subject to provider availability

Return eligibility for print-on-demand products will be governed by the Refund and Return Policy and applicable consumer law.

The fact that a product is produced on demand does not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.

34. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping times are estimates unless explicitly guaranteed.

Orders may experience delays caused by:

Nothing in these Terms limits nonwaivable consumer rights.

Do not return a product without following the return instructions. Unauthorized returns may be delayed or refused where legally permitted.

BareAnime may offer discount codes, giveaways, contests, referral programs, or promotions.

  • Codes have no cash value

Purchases are not required to enter a sweepstakes unless legally permitted and clearly disclosed.

37. Newsletter and Communications

When you subscribe, you authorize BareAnime and its newsletter provider to send the communications described at signup.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in those messages.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary messages such as:

You grant BareAnime permission to use feedback without payment or obligation, provided that this does not transfer ownership of a separately submitted original anime theory or other User Content governed by the user-content provisions.

Do not send confidential business ideas unless a written confidentiality agreement is already in place.

41. Corrections

BareAnime may correct:

BareAnime does not warrant that:

  • Defects will always be corrected
  • The Services will be free from harmful components
  • Third-party services will perform as promised
  • User Content is lawful or accurate

This section does not exclude warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

43. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BareAnime and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Use or inability to use the Services
  • Reliance on content
  • Loss of data
  • Loss of revenue or profits
  • Business interruption
  • Unauthorized account access
  • Third-party conduct
  • User Content
  • External links
  • Product delays
  • Service interruptions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BareAnime’s total liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid directly to BareAnime for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim during the six months preceding the event; or
  • One hundred United States dollars

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be limited.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

44. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BareAnime and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from:

  • Your unlawful use of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your User Content
  • Your infringement of another person’s rights
  • Fraud or willful misconduct
  • Your violation of applicable law

BareAnime may control the defense of a covered claim, and you agree to cooperate reasonably.

This section does not require a consumer to indemnify BareAnime for BareAnime’s own unlawful conduct or negligence where such indemnification is prohibited.

45. Release Concerning Other Users

Disputes may arise between users.

BareAnime is not a party to ordinary disputes between users merely because the interaction occurred through the Services.

To the extent permitted by law, you release BareAnime from claims arising solely from the independent acts of other users, except where BareAnime has a nonwaivable legal responsibility.

This provision does not prevent you from reporting misconduct or exercising legal rights.

46. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Mandatory consumer-protection rights provided by the laws of your place of residence remain unaffected where they cannot legally be waived.

47. Informal Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you and BareAnime agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.

The complaining party should send written notice describing:

  • The party’s name and contact information
  • The relevant account or order
  • The nature of the dispute
  • The requested resolution

The parties will have at least 30 days after receipt to attempt resolution before commencing formal proceedings, unless immediate action is legally necessary or a limitation period would expire.

48. Courts and Venue

Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or the Services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California.

You and BareAnime consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

This provision does not prevent either party from seeking relief in small-claims court where eligible or seeking urgent injunctive relief to protect intellectual-property, privacy, security, or safety interests.

49. No Automatic Arbitration Provision

These Terms do not currently require binding arbitration or waive the right to participate in a class action.

BareAnime should not add an arbitration or class-action waiver without obtaining jurisdiction-specific legal advice and providing legally sufficient notice.

50. International Use

BareAnime is operated from the United States but may be accessible worldwide.

We do not represent that the Services or all content are appropriate, legal, or available in every country.

You are responsible for complying with local laws that apply to you.

BareAnime may restrict products, accounts, features, or access in particular locations for legal, security, tax, shipping, licensing, or operational reasons.

51. Export and Sanctions Compliance

You may not use the Services or purchase products in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions laws.

BareAnime may refuse or cancel transactions where necessary to comply with legal restrictions.

52. Force Majeure

BareAnime is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Severe weather
  • War
  • Terrorism
  • Civil unrest
  • Labor disputes
  • Government actions
  • Epidemics
  • Internet failures
  • Utility failures
  • Carrier disruptions
  • Supply-chain interruptions
  • Cyberattacks
  • Failures of third-party providers

This provision does not eliminate refund or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

53. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without BareAnime’s written permission.

BareAnime may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.

54. No Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

A waiver is effective only when stated clearly in writing by an authorized representative.

55. Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent or modified as narrowly as necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

56. Entire Agreement

These Terms and the policies incorporated into them form the entire agreement between you and BareAnime concerning the Services, except for a separate written agreement that expressly overrides them.

Headings are provided for convenience and do not control interpretation.

57. Survival

Provisions concerning intellectual property, User Content licenses, payments, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and any other terms that by their nature should survive will remain effective after account closure or termination.
